We’ve had some great media coverage in the last couple of days, including making the front page of La Figaro in France (see our news page). The wonderful influx of new users is proving a bit much for the poor mappiness server, though.

We’re doing our best to smooth things out, but you may find at the moment that the app doesn’t manage to send in responses or retrieve status or happiness data, or that it’s rather slow to do so. If so, we’re sorry.

Update (18 October). We fed the database some extra RAM and cut a few unnecessary queries, and things are running smoothly again at present.
